thank you all for your outpouring of kindness~ I even got some responses a few moments after sending the message! (Kai). I woke up to another drab day, and then it started to snow! What an intense physical relief! I feel as if the earth has finally shrugged off her heavy burden and now dances about adding crystals and lace to her dress and hair.
Three things: a) my flat-mate Olga told me that Polish almost never say I
love you! In fact, she has never once told her mother! She says they
take it as assumed, and consider it very American to express that kind of
emotion in words...
b) I have heard that my organization in Krakow has prepared a list for
people to sign up to show me around the city, one person per day! :-) I
won't get any work done.
c) That brings me to the fact many people are asking what exactly I'm
doing here, which I promise to explain very soon.
